Why Montessori
Montessori education values the development of the whole child: physical, social, emotional and cognitive.
In our thoughtfully-designed learning environment, children are encouraged to grow and become who they are meant to be. Montessori learning principles support development in Practical, Sensorial, Language, Math and Cultural life skills.
Children are given tools and experiences that allow development at their speed, with their interests being encouraged, while nurturing specific needs during their sensitive periods.
Montessori Learning
This is a sensorial introduction to the world of numbers. The materials in the mathematics area begin by giving the child a very concrete experience with numbers. As the child progresses through the curriculum, the materials become less concrete and the child is able to work with abstract concepts in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions. With this method, the child is able to achieve a natural appreciation of the basic concepts and avoids the mental blockages that so often occur when they first face the abstract.
Our Programs
We offer an integrated early education program including a 3rd Year Montessori program for children from the ages of 3-6 years of age. In keeping with the Montessori philosophy, we aim to balance the classes so that each session has a mixed age group and a balance of genders.
Half Day Casa Program
Age 3
Year one of our Montessori programs consists of our half-day pre-school program which offers the choice of either morning or afternoon classes and runs five days a week. We find the 5 day schedule helps promote consistency which is very important at this stage in a child’s education.
- 8:30am – 11:30am
- 12:45pm – 3:45pm
Full Day Casa Program
Age 3 & 4
This program allows children to develop a deeper understanding of their learning and allows more time to practice, furthering their development.
Full Day
- 8:30 am – 3:45 pm
3rd Year Casa Program
Age 5+
The third and final year of our Montessori program allows children to bloom through the culmination of a three-year developmental stage. This full-day program consolidates their knowledge and provides an opportunity for the children to bring their educational, social and mentoring skills to fruition. The mixed-age grouping in the classroom allows the 3rd Year Montessori children to practice responsibility, to be leaders and to offer support to others.
- 8:30am – 3:45pm
